Pastor Linda Gittens

Greetings! My name is Pastor Linda Gittens and I am the Founder/CEO and Sr. Pastor of God’s Rising of Worshipers. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, water baptized in 1995; baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues in 1997, licensed as a pastor in 2008 and was ordained in 2014..

My Core Values - What I will live and Die For  

• God’s Word: It is of utmost importance to me that I not only read and study the Word of God but to live my life according to His Word to the best of my abilities.

• Integrity: Honesty, fairness and being sincere are elements of my life that are non-negotiable and are difficult for me to accept when I see others compromising in these areas.

• Commitment: It is very seldom that I halfway do anything, and when I agree to do something I more often than not put my all into.

• Discipleship: I enjoy helping others recognize and strengthen their God given talents and Gifts of the Holy Spirit, to be used in the building of God’s Kingdom; as well as making their desire to grow in God a reality in their lives so that they can be all that God called them to be.

• Personal Growth: I love learning new things and sharing what I have learned with others.

My Vision Statement  

“My vision is to see people growing in their relationship with God, understanding and applying the Word of God to every aspect of their lives and to see them committed to serving the Lord.  I desire to see reconciliation among our churches and between God’s peoples, to see them set free from spiritual bondages and to watch them grow as they learn who they are in God’s eyes.”

Personal Calling Statement  

“My calling is to preach the Word of God and teach God’s people how to walk in His ways by understanding His Word and making application of His Word in their lives.  I am to disciple people regarding their walk with God and to be an influence and encourager to those around me by how I live my life and by interceding for the Body of Christ that they may be set free from spiritual bondage.” 
 

People who have impacted my Life  

• Desreeia Taylor, my daughter who prayed for my salvation.

• Pastor Cynthia Jackson, Transformed Through Hope Ministries, she taught me the importance of seeking God’s perfect will opposed to God’s permissive will.

• Chantal Chapman, San Jose, she taught me the importance of being obedient to God and about spiritual warfare.

• Elder Leslie Toliver, San Jose, she taught me the importance of giving praise to God for everything and it was her that brought me into the ministry of deliverance.

• Kay Arthur, a well known published author and Bible Teacher/Speaker, her teaching taught me how to study and make application of the word of God.

• Jerry Grier, Sr. Manager, Lockheed Martin, he taught me how to be a leader and a mentor. He also taught me the importance of believing in people and coming along side of them and walking them through.

• Pastor Cal Cook, San Jose, he taught me about fasting and prayer and its importance.

• Pastor Bill Hayden, San Jose, who encouraged me to continue to stand in the mist of hard/difficult times, and who taught me the importance of cultural reconciliation.
